Welcome to
Prince Frederick Eagles Poms 2014

The Prince Frederick Eagles
are currently seeking volunteers for coaching the pom program.

Any interested individual is encouraged to contact
our Cheer and Pom Coordinator - Nicki Daniels - at .

Basic Information:

The Prince Frederick Eagles are pleased to offer several programs to our communities' youth to include cheerleading for children age 4-14 years old.  The PFE pom program provides an opportunity to those children interested in beginning and advancing within the sport.  The programs activities primarily revolve around performing at Prince Frederick Eagle football games and various cheer competition opportunities based on age and skill.

Season Information:

Our season runs from August to mid November.  Poms perform at 10-12 football games and 1 competition.   Poms will not stunt or cheer at a halftime, but perform dance/pom routines to music.  The Pom Squad will help fill in at some games that cheerleaders cannot attend due to multiple football teams.

Game schedules:

Team schedules are made available approximately the 3rd week of practice.  Most games are on Saturdays and a few Wednesday nights.  Pom girls are expected to arrive 30 minutes prior to a game unless coach instructions otherwise.

Practices:

Pom practices start August 1st at 6:00pm at Calvert Elementary.  The Pom squad will practice 3 times a week.  The practice schedule will be determined by your coach once we kick off the season.  In September our practices move to Hallowing Point Park (HPP) for 2 weeks and later moved to local schools with practices reduce to 2 times a week.

Equipment:

PFE will provide uniforms (shell/skirt) during registration/equipment handouts at HPP. In addition to the provided uniforms, each pom participate will have additional mandatory items to purchase:

  • hair bow (purchased through PFE)
  • socks (purchased through PFE)
  • poms (purchased through PFE)
  • briefs (black) (purchased on your own or through PFE)
  • black midriff bodysuit (black) (purchased on your own or through PFE)
  • black dance shoes (purchased through PFE)

All uniforms (shell/skirt) must be returned at the end of the season.  The Pom girl is responsible for full payment of uniform if not returned.  PFE sells OPTIONAL warm-up gear and bag if you choose or order.

Additional Information:

Please make every effort to respect the coaches and other poms by being on-time for games and practices.  This is your child’s time to shine!!!  Please cheer your children on!  Be loud, be proud!  But above all be respectful.   If you cannot act in accordance with our policy, you will be asked to leave the game/practice/event area immediately.  If necessary we will contact law enforcement agencies.

We strive to provide a fun and safe environment for your children.  Our intent is to teach and instruct the basic fundamentals of dance/pom.  We enforce good sportsmanship. At times we may lose perspective, but please do your best to conduct yourselves accordingly and act in adherence to our tenants.  All of our coaches, team moms, elected and appointed board members are strictly volunteers; please respect our efforts.

Note - parents, friends and family members are NOT permitted on practice or game fields while practices or games are being held.

If you have an issue that needs to be addressed or would like to give constructive or positive feedback, please speak with your coach first, cheer coordinator second.  If further assistance is needed or desired, please contract our Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) Chairperson, Mr. Robert Kimmel. His contact information can found under the "Contacts" tab. Mr. Kimmel will listen to all disputes and advise on a course of action.

If you would like to volunteer to assist in anyway, please let us know.  We can always use an extra hand!  Please contact the cheer coordinator or assistant cheer coordinator for more information.  If your interested in coaching, you will need to fill out a mandatory background check form and complete a small online course.  Contact the cheer coordinator for more info.

We are looking forward to a great season.  Be on the lookout for updated info and important dates as the season gets closer.
